On February 13, 2024, key members of the Founders Association of MSMEs and Entrepreneurs (FAME), including Mr. Bernie Calmateo, Mr. Wilfredo Gianan II, and Ms. Jess Guevarra, met with officials of Barangay Fortune in Marikina City. The discussions were held in coordination with the Barangay Secretary and the Heads of the GAD/Women’s Department and the Persons With Disability (PWD) organization.
The meeting focused on developing a collaborative partnership aimed at empowering the local community, specifically women and PWDs. This collaboration seeks to institutionalize a holistic approach to support by offering various livelihood trainings, workshops, and seminars. The goal is to provide these groups with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their economic opportunities and improve their quality of life.
By working closely with barangay officials, women’s groups, and the PWD organization, FAME aims to create sustainable programs that address the unique challenges faced by these communities. The initiative underscores FAME’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth and supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the region. Through these efforts, FAME hopes to build a more resilient and empowered community in Barangay Fortune and beyond.
